Fulfillments
Tracking
Add tracking numbers and sync shipment status across platforms.
Adding Tracking Information
When creating a fulfillment, you can include tracking details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Tracking Number | The carrier's tracking number (e.g., 1Z999AA10123456784) |
| Tracking URL | Direct link to the tracking page |
How Tracking Syncs
Tracking information flows automatically between Nventory and your connected platforms:
Nventory → Platform
When you add tracking to a fulfillment in Nventory:
- The tracking number and URL sync to the originating platform (Shopify, WooCommerce)
- The customer receives a shipping notification from the platform
- The order status updates to "Shipped" or "Completed"
Platform → Nventory
When tracking is added on the platform:
- Nventory receives the update via webhook
- The fulfillment in Nventory updates with the tracking information
- The shipped timestamp is recorded
Viewing Tracking
In the Nventory dashboard, each fulfilled order shows:
- Tracking numbers as clickable badges
- Fulfillment status (pending, shipped, delivered)
- Timestamps for each status change
- Items included in each fulfillment with SKU and quantity
Multiple Tracking Numbers
If a single fulfillment has multiple packages, each can have its own tracking number. All tracking numbers sync to the connected platform.
Tracking information is metadata on the fulfillment. Even if you add tracking after creating the fulfillment, it will sync to the connected platform on the next update.
