Order Storage

Nventory works with both the traditional wp_posts-based order storage and the newer HPOS custom order tables.

Hosting Compatibility

Nventory works on all standard WordPress hosting:

  • Shared hosting — SiteGround, Bluehost, GoDaddy, Hostinger
  • Managed WordPress — WP Engine, Kinsta, Flywheel, Cloudways
  • VPS / Dedicated — DigitalOcean, Linode, AWS, etc.
  • Docker / containerized — works in any containerized WordPress setup

Server Requirements

  • HTTPS — required for secure connection to Nventory
  • Outbound HTTPS — your server must allow outbound requests to app.nventory.io
  • WordPress REST API — must be enabled (enabled by default on all WordPress sites)

Some security plugins or server firewalls may block outbound API requests. If you have trouble connecting, ensure requests to app.nventory.io are not being blocked.

Browser Support

The Nventory admin pages work in all modern browsers:

BrowserMinimum Version
Chrome90+
Firefox90+
Safari14+
Edge90+

JavaScript must be enabled for the admin interface to function.

Known Limitations

  • The plugin requires WooCommerce — it cannot operate standalone
  • Only simple and variable product types are supported
  • One Nventory connection per WordPress installation
