Data & Privacy

What data Nventory stores, how it's used, and how to remove it.

What Data Does Nventory Store?

Nventory stores a small amount of configuration data on your WordPress site to maintain the connection to the Nventory platform:

  • Connection credentials — used to authenticate with the Nventory platform
  • Operating mode — whether your store runs as a supplier or seller
  • Integration identifiers — to track which connection this store belongs to
  • Supplier name — display name of your connected supplier (seller mode only)

No customer personal data is stored by the plugin itself beyond what WooCommerce already manages.

What Data Is Sent to Nventory?

Supplier Mode

When operating as a supplier, the following data is synced to the Nventory platform:

  • Product information (titles, descriptions, images, prices, SKUs)
  • Inventory levels (stock quantities and status)
  • Product categories and tags

Seller Mode

When operating as a seller:

  • Product selection preferences (which supplier products you've published)
  • Sync field preferences (which fields you want to auto-sync)
  • Order data for products sourced from your supplier (shipping addresses, quantities)

Order data is shared with your supplier only for products sourced through Nventory. Orders for your own products are not sent to Nventory.

Data Removal

Disconnecting

When you click Disconnect in the Nventory settings:

  • All connection credentials are removed from your WordPress database
  • Your store stops communicating with the Nventory platform
  • WooCommerce products that were already synced remain in your store

Uninstalling

To completely remove all Nventory data from your site:

  1. Disconnect from Nventory first (via the settings page)
  2. Deactivate the plugin from Plugins > Installed Plugins
  3. Delete the plugin from Plugins > Installed Plugins

For a clean removal, always disconnect before deleting the plugin. This ensures all stored configuration is properly cleared from your database.

Synced Products

Disconnecting or uninstalling Nventory does not delete WooCommerce products that were previously synced. If you want to remove those products:

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Products
  2. Filter or search for the synced products
  3. Delete them manually

Third-Party Services

Nventory communicates with the following external service:

  • Nventory Platform (app.nventory.io) — for product sync, inventory management, and order routing

No data is shared with any other third-party service by the plugin.
