Sync Fields
Control which product data fields sync from your supplier.
Sync field preferences let you control exactly which product data is kept in sync with your supplier. This gives you the flexibility to customize certain aspects of products while keeping others automatically updated.
Available Sync Fields
| Field | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Enabled | Product name |
| Description | Enabled | Full product description |
| Images | Enabled | Product gallery images |
| Price | Enabled | Regular and sale prices |
| SKU | Enabled | Stock keeping unit identifier |
| Categories | Enabled | Product categories |
| Tags | Disabled | Product tags |
How Sync Fields Work
First-Time Publish
When you publish a product for the first time, all fields are synced regardless of your preferences. This ensures the product is created with complete data in your WooCommerce store.
Sync field preferences only apply to subsequent updates after the initial product creation. The first sync always includes all fields.
Subsequent Updates
After the initial sync, only enabled fields are updated when the supplier makes changes:
- Enabled field — supplier changes are automatically applied to your product
- Disabled field — supplier changes are ignored, your local edits are preserved
Example
If you disable the Title sync field:
- Product is first published with the supplier's title: "Blue Cotton T-Shirt"
- You rename it in WooCommerce to "Premium Blue Tee"
- Supplier updates their title to "Blue Cotton T-Shirt v2"
- Your product keeps "Premium Blue Tee" — the title sync is disabled
Managing Sync Fields
- Go to Nventory in your WordPress admin
- Navigate to the sync field settings section
- Toggle individual fields on or off
- Click Save to apply changes
Changes take effect immediately for all future sync operations. Products already in your store are not retroactively updated.
Common Configurations
Full Auto-Sync
Keep all fields enabled. Your products mirror the supplier's data exactly. Best when you don't need to customize product details.
Custom Branding
Disable Title and Description. Write your own product copy while keeping prices, images, inventory, and SKUs in sync with the supplier.
Price Independence
Disable Price. Set your own retail pricing and markup while the supplier manages everything else.
